October but it seems
it just wasn't meant to be
It was always a strange pairing but now Apprentice
winner Stella English has told boyfriend Toby Anstis –
“you’re fired”.
The pair had been dating for nearly two months and went
public with their relationship at the premiere of James
Corden’s flick, One Chance, in October. Fitting.
The Heart FM presenter and former telly host, 42, had
been credited for putting a smile on skint Stella’s face
after her recent financial troubles. But sadly it’s come
to an end after the businesswoman, 34, decided to call
time on their fling.
Stella was overheard telling pals she was single when
she attended the glitzy Big Talent Group Christmas bash
last week – and, last night, a friend confirmed the split:
“Yes, Stella is single after she decided to end their
relationship. They had a great time together but love
hadn’t blossomed and they decided they would be better
off as friends.”
The friend said: “Stella has got herself back on track,
getting a job as a high-flying consultant with a six-
figure salary. It’s a very demanding job with long hours
so the couple were struggling to spend time together.
She decided she would be better off single as she wants
to focus on work.”
The mum-of-two recently split from hubbie Ray Dewar
after two years.
And after a long, costly court battle with former boss
Alan Sugar, she said she was living on the breadline and
struggling to feed her sons.
Last night Stella said: “I’ve been on a few dates with
Toby and I’m very fond of him. I’m sure we will remain
great friends but for now I’m single.”
Guess the hats we bought for the wedding are going
back. Drats.
